At the K-Wave event in Mumbai on October 18, Suho from the South Korean boyband EXO surprised the audience. This unique moment is now going viral on social media. K-Wave is the largest K-Pop event in India and celebrates Korean culture through performances and food. While performing with great energy, Suho noticed a familiar face in the audience: Ronak Arora. He had met Ronak unexpectedly nine years prior.
When Suho met Ronak in 2014 while traveling across India, Ronak did not know he was famous and even asked him to snap a photo of him. Nine years later, Suho recalled their special exchange in addition to Ronak. Online videos capture Suho’s reaction when she saw Ronak in the crowd and said, “Yeah, ah yeah! I remember him! He asked me to take a picture of himself!” This caused the crowd to cheer, making it a memorable moment for Suho and his supporters.
Ronak, who works as a radiologist, posted a photo of Suho and multiple videos of the touching exchange on Instagram. Ronak wrote in his post that he and Suho had reached a full circle in their lives.
He recalled their first meeting and felt overjoyed to see Ronak again at the K-Pop artist’s debut performance. “9 years later we saw each other again! Suho recognized me in the crowd and remembered the incident from his last visit. It was a core moment for us”.
In a sincere gesture, Ronak aimed to “return the favor” by filming Suho’s performance and taking pictures. This transformed their previous encounter into a treasured memory. Ronak celebrated their unique bond by dancing to Suho’s tunes in the last slide of his Instagram post.
This incident was just another high point in Suho’s prosperous career. Since their 2012 debut, Suho, who is known offstage as Kim Jun-myeon, has served as EXO’s leader and lead vocalist. In March 2020, Suho released his mini-album Self-Portrait, marking the beginning of his solo career in addition to his work in EXO. He has also dabbled in acting, making appearances in movies and television series like Rich Man, Student A, One Way Trip, and The Universe’s Star. Early in 2022, Suho finished his required military service, but he still wins people over all around the world.
