The Weeknd’s “Dancing in the Flames,” the debut single from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow, was released in mid-September. Shortly after, the Canadian musician released “Timeless,” a new song featuring Playboi Carti. In just a few weeks, this most recent release became a huge hit due to its rapid popularity.

“Timeless” debuted impressively on a number of Billboard charts. The song climbed to the top of over half of the charts where it was featured, primarily because of its high sales and streaming success. Fans have responded well to The Weeknd’s collaboration with Playboi Carti, which has greatly boosted its financial success.

“Timeless’s” streaming figures are the main factor contributing to its popularity. The song peaked at the top of three streaming-only charts in the United States, including the main Streaming Songs list. As a dominant force in the streaming category, it also topped the lists for R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs and R&B Streaming Songs.

Sales have also aided the song’s instant success. “Timeless” showed its success in both digital sales and streaming as it debuted at the top of both the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and R&B Digital Song Sales charts. The single’s excellent performance across these parameters guaranteed its quick ascent to the top.

“Timeless” ranks as a top song on Billboard’s Hot charts. These charts consider a mix of streams, sales, and radio airplay. The song performed well in the other categories. As a result, it secured a place on important Billboard charts. Although radio airplay is still increasing, the song made its debut at the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It also topped the Hot R&B Songs chart. The Weeknd has ruled these positions on numerous occasions.

“Timeless” currently tops seven Billboard charts overall, further cementing The Weeknd’s status as a number-one artist. His ongoing success on these charts demonstrates his ability to continually produce hits. Interestingly, this marks his 15th No. 1 on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart and his fourth No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart.

“Timeless” debuted at No. 3 on the Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart, and in addition to its dominance on both lists, it also made it into the top 10 on two other rankings.
